August

August comes from a band of tricksters and thieves who live in a secret grove near the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. Although their reputation is nasty, they offer support to anyone they can and work to spread faith in the Shadowbinder. He was found by Azura and Anselme after a Beastclan ambush left him gravely wounded. As he was forced to stay with them until he recovered, he eventually opened up and told them of his clan. Azura took great interest in their location near the Crescent, and has since made multiple trips there to try to connect better with their guardian deity. Since his rescue August has felt indebted to the clan leaders and regularly offers work on their behalf.

August sometimes feels as though his loyalties are divided. Although he still considers himself a member of the Sanctum, nowadays he only ever visits occasionally when bringing Azura, spending most of his time in Deepbramble to better protect her and Anselme. He created the clan's fighting force and taught Krii until he was able to take over as captain, but the only dragon he's trained personally since then is Kerwyn. August intends for her to continue with his self appointed role if at any point he isn't able to. As her training is nearing completion he's been finding himself with more time to himself, and with the long-standing security of the village he's been tailing the founders gradually less. He's used this time to begin nurturing and breeding rocs, as both pets and extra guard for the clan.
