Rhoden -- The Living Rose -- - Theme - 'The Rhododendron, a genus of flowers that are known to symbolize danger, and to beware. The pollen, nectar, and even honey from some species of Rhododendron is known to be poisonous.' At first glance, the different-colored vines and roses look to be just decoration; strung along the feathers, claws, and tail to make oneself look prettier. However, upon closer inspection, it quickly becomes obvious that this is not the fact at all; the stems and vines seeming to almost grow out from gaps inbetween the scales and feathers. Almost as though, he were just as much plant as he were dragon...

--Description-- Rhoden is a dragon of beauty, a dragon of grace, a dragon of vanity. In his strives to become something more, something one step above all else, he has used his own magic to embed various plants within himself; to the point that the line between the plants and himself has grown terribly blurred. In doing so, he has developed an almost symbiotic relationship with the plants that grow off of him, providing the beautiful colors he strives for, protective thorns, and the ability to digest a wider range of foods.... In return however, Rhoden oftentimes has to eat more to provide enough nutrients for both himself, and his plants. When he grows hungry, he grows agitated and aggressive to those around him - and this more often than not leads Rhoden to hunt in the Viridian Labyrinth on a regular basis. And when he hunts, any easy meal he comes across he is not one to pass up... Despite this however, Rhoden considers no price too steep in his pursuit of true beauty. Where other dragons may balk at the idea of becoming one with plants as he does; considering his roses to be nothing more than parasites upon his own wellbeing, he finds pride in it. He sees it as a true show of the extents of his magical prowess, and a show of his dedication and determination.

--Relations--

As a result of this, Rhoden considers himself above most other dragons - and oftentimes demands respect from others. When he doesn't gain this respect though, he can quickly grow insulted; sometimes to the point of attacking the dragon if he is angered enough. Despite this vanity and dainty appearance however, he is just as dangerous as he is beautiful. His thorns and spines make it difficult to attack him directly, he has reinforced claws, he can lash at a dragon with his thorny tail, or even attack with his magic. However, playing along with his vanity and ego will oftentimes result in him growing lax, and is more likely to just push the dragon around, show off, or simply ignore the other dragon instead, assuming that he isn't hungry. Gain his trust with offerings of food and praise of his appearance, and he may 'gift' a dragon with plants of their own, or teach them the spells to do the same as he did. He may, additionally, be less dangerous to interact with in future encounters, when he grows hungry... Break this trust however, and he will prove to be a very unforgiving dragon when he exacts his revenge...
