His father was a well-known dragon among his clan, as the imperial was one of the few that assisted the clan in their beginnings. Adonis was raised with a massively inflated sense of self-worth. No matter how poor of a job he performed, the shadow of his father would hide his mistakes.

He held his head high as he would demand more and more of his clan. They would deliver in fear that he would call upon his parent's wrath to punish them. He was like a king, but he held neither crown nor royal blood. Then, the clan could no longer give. He had taken all that he could. He bellowed and frowned upon them, bleeding them dry of what little they had without care for their well being. Instead of grieving the loss of what was once his friends and family, he moved on.

Like a parasite, he moved from clan to clan with grandiose tales of his father's achievements. The weak-willed were subjected to his greed again and again, until finally a mage took notice of his destruction. In his sleep, without his knowledge, a curse was cast upon him. No matter what it was, be it food, item, or friend, if he was given anything that was not earned upon his own merit it would be doomed to perish.

Curious Case File
Favor's Void
Any gift given to Adonis will immediately begin to deteriorate. Time seems to accelerate for any gift he touches. Food will rot and wither while metals will gradually be reduced to dust. Another curious event is when another becomes their friend. Even if someone is just being nice, if he does not reciprocate that kindness, the dragon that initiated will begin to age at an accelerated pace. All attempts to manipulate the curse have failed and the subject refuses to cooperate without pay. General warning has been issued to the public; further studies may be difficult to perform.

Despite being a Lightning dragon, he absolutely detests living in the Shifting Expanse. From the constant crackling of electricity in the air to the storm-ravaged plains, he would rather live pretty much anywhere else. He stays though because he can get basically whatever he wants, and to him that's worth the discomfort. After all, what's the point of leaving if you have everything you could ever want, even if the whole place reeks of ozone?

I think Adonis would be the thinker of the lair. His peaceful attitude allows the clan to focus on answers with little aggression involved. He would be admired by multiple dragons, even hatchlings that come to your lair. Whenever there would be a query or a shamble, his brains and persuasive use of speech allows the clan to stay at peace. He is the glue ahaha.
