Carmella was born to two highly esteemed members of the Unseelie Court on a late summer night. Being the middle child of their first clutch, she grew up spoiled rotten, always getting what she wanted, including her favorite that normal hatchlings seemed to love so much. But she knew that she couldn't stay that way forever, that she would eventually need to learn the ways of her parents- spiriting children away and replacing them with faerie children. She didn't want that. She didn't want to have to rip unsuspecting hatchlings away from their parents, only to replace them so quickly and easily. The very thought of the act upset her. All Carmella wanted to do was make them happy, as she was a child. So she ran. She escaped to a far off clan, in another lair far, far away, where another pair of dragons had just laid their clutch. She nestled herself down amongst the new hatchlings and gave her old name to one of the hatchlings. A bogsneak fairy became a mirror hatchling. An unsuspecting dragon hatchling became a fairy child. Carmella hated doing it, but it is what had to be done to hide herself. Carmella has changed herself since she left. No longer is she the spoiled rotten child of faeries, but a hardworking dragon, making the beautiful candies she once craved as a hatchling. She doubts her parents would recognize her now, covered in chocolate smears and flour after a hard days work, when previously she never lifted a claw to do a thing. She enjoys creating fancy creations to amaze young hatchlings and entice older dragons, and loves the smiles the flavor of her creations bring to others. Carmella hopes that it stays like this forever, and hopes that she can continue to bring others happiness. |
