Woore

Crisp leaves shifted under her feet with her every step. Their gentle crinkling echoed in her wake. Dull greens turned turned to muted red at her touch. The fog retreated into the rocks and the trees as she approached with the morning sun. Light became her shadow, trailing after her through the thinning canopy. Woore breathed a soft breeze to life, waking the leaves and petals to dance around her in celebration.

Her lanterns joined the performance as the wind had picked up slightly.

Woore smiled as her wings began to unfold, becoming softer, smoother, stronger. Old wilted feathers began to grow back, shining and more vibrant than before. She felt her body grow lighter and her pace become faster. A certain rush began to fill her being.

She raised her forelegs and bounded deeper into the woods, taking all the green with her and leaving red and gold in its place. With every leap, she felt herself grow livelier. Adrenaline coursed through her veins as she twirled through the trees and into a clearing -- the very heart of the forest. Her lanterns lined the edges of the clearing, guiding the wind to circle the border. Woore danced to the center where she spun three times, one for each season that had come and gone and would come again.

A sea of orange and red, gold and brown washed over the clearing, and spilling into the rest of the forest and overflowing into the Sunbeam Ruins.

She spread her wings and turned her face to the sky as she slowed to a stop -- Autumn had arrived.
