Biography

A D R A S T E I A

For a few months after she left her original family, Adrasteia had been content to simply wander the forests on her own. There was a certain kind of peace that she could only find in those forests, and she enjoyed it. Other dragons passing through the woods where she lived was a common occurrence. They either left her well enough alone or were kind and friendly to her. She was quite happy with either.

One afternoon, a group of three dragons passed through the woods - a Fae, a Mirror, and another Skydancer. The Skydancer was very obviously severely injured, and as he could not walk on his own, the other two had to drag him along. Concerned, Adrasteia approached them.

"Good afternoon," she said softly. "Would you like me to help you?"

The Mirror immediately looked her up and down, while the Fae spoke up, "Are you a healer?"

"Yes. I am."

"Our battlemage, Atlas, was injured. Can you help him?"

"Of course," Adrasteia nodded. She silently got to work, putting her knowledge of magic and medicine to use. While Atlas was not healed completely, in a matter of minutes he was soon able to stand on his own again.

"Where is your clan?" The Fae broke the silence again.

"I left my old clan," Adrasteia answered her. "I have lived here on my own for a while now."

"Well, there's always a spot in our clan for you. You don't have to come with us... but you can."

Adrasteia considered it for a while. She could always come back to the woods, and she wasn't going to pass up what seemed like a kind, welcoming clan. She agreed, and the four of them continued on their way.

Now, Adrasteia - nicknamed Adra by her clan - is one of the clan's healers. She is compassionate and kind, genuinely caring for any patients she might receive. She also has a fondness for plants and flowers.

Despite some of her coworkers being somewhat less sympathetic than she is, she gets along adequately with them - for the most part. She often finds herself intervening when Proteus is particularly harsh toward his patients.
