Dancing Petals are a subspecies of butterfly-winged dragons who are perfectly adapted to the peaceful and relaxed winds of the Zephyr Steppes. Their beautiful wings shine in the sun and cast beams of coloured light down on the earth beneath them. Their wings are quite delicate and will tear if exposed to the harsh winds of the Twisting Crescendo. However, despite their fragility, their wings allow them to maneuver the soft breezes of the Steppes expertly while they tend to the flowers that grow there. Dancing Petals are truly a dazzling sight as they glide across the skies.
Dancing Petals have a natural aptitude for flower and plant growth, and tend to their fields with the utmost care. It is said that simply placing a withering plant in the presence of one of their gardens will revitalize it and promote healthy growth. This makes having a Dancing Petal friend very useful for gardeners and farmers. Some will even build empty homes in their fields, marked with sweet-smelling flowers, hoping that a Dancing Petal will drift by and decide to occupy it. Due to this, Dancing Petals are becoming a very common sight in areas inhabited by Nature dragons, such as the Viridian Labyrinth.
There have been rumours of Dancing Petals effecting butterflies from the fields and forests they inhabit, causing the butterflies to grow in size and become dragons. These stories, in turn, have led to the thought that Dancing Petals were once butterflies, as well. (Written by NeonPixelDragon)
