Belial was once, a very long time ago, a young Shiro serving at the great temple. Living and tending to the temple with his peers Belial was rocked by his emotions more strongly than others, his felt devotion down in his bones, loved with his entire being, and felt joy like few others could. It was the strength of these emotions that caused his fall from grace all those years ago. But in his youth it made him devoted to his task and charge over the temple, he never ceased being mesmerized by the beauty of the land or the temple its self. Belial could stare up at the great tree for hours caught up in its beauty, all things beautiful he loved best. Chided and warned time and time again to regulate himself, to set aside his emotions and give in to serenity and forget the material Belial found he could not, no matter how hard he tried. Frustration over his inability to set aside his emotions soon turned to anger, and to anger hatred and like all his emotions this consumed him. Belial began to feel the life of a shiro, a guardian of the great temple, was no longer the life for him and set outward to live his life according to his nature. Now with his once white fur turned the crimson of blood, Belial has become a malicious yako, he lives only for himself and is ruled by his emotions and love of beauty. Bedecking himself in silks and jewels, lavishing his devoted attentions on only the most beautiful of companions, Beliel is a prince of decadence, living like a hedonistic god of wine and debauchery, his anger and rage burn as brightly as his love and reverence for all things beautiful and pleasurable. |
