Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this big boy wandered a little too far from his home lair (328338, MarinaQuakenbush), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to his home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Places visited:
  • Jeredrakes (#333655) - After visiting in Jeredrakes' lair for a long time, Malikk finally made the decision to follow after his mate, Miriam, and travel the world. He's not sure what he expects to find, but he suspects he will know it when he sees it. Maybe he's got a little guardian in his bloodline...
  • Aquarithyst (#202862) - He seems to be amazed that he's gotten into a clan that has his original element. Has met a ton of new friends! Though he isn't so fond of Harbor... Toooooo spooky the way he fishes. It's gracefully creepy. Creepily graceful? What? Is that even a thing? Other than that, he seems to be enjoying the lair. Can't wait to see where he goes next!
  • HSoup (#11793) - Visiting the Coral Reef clan was like nothing Malikk had ever experienced before. They took him deep sea exploring. He wore camouflage that made him all but disappear in the dark waters. He saw all sorts of creatures he had never even knew existed. It was amazing! Here is a picture they took of him when a small electric squid swam by, unaware of the disguised Bogsneak. He had a great time visiting the reef, but now he is ready to see more of Sornieth. iGw9T0l.png
  • lleapinllamas (#327287) - He drifted from the Sea of a Thousand Currents to the Reedcleft Ascent a few days after seeing all of the fish. Birds and bugs were everywhere and chimes sang in the breeze!! It was like heaven on Sorineth... until he seemed to be stuck in a stretch of land for days on end. No matter where he went, Malikk couldn't find civilization again!!! One night, while he was sleeping under the stars, he heard a voice. "Come closer, and I shall tell you about the whereabouts of your mate," it hissed.

Not thinking, the Bogsneak felt himself drift over to where the voice was coming from. The being vaguely resembled a Spiral, and shivers went down Malikk's spine. "Come closer..." he remembers it saying. "Yes. I think your mate, she is one of the exalted. There is no reason for you to travel anymore. So, stay with us."

"You know nothing about my mate!" Malikk clearly remembered crying out, his wings quivering in the dark. He searched for it in him to try to break the spellbinding on him, and soon he felt it, with a surge of power. Spreading his wings and flying, he needed to touch down far, far away from here. It gave him the chills.
  • Volrin (#261879) - And that's exactly what Malikk did. He flew for hours upon hours without rest, watching with wide, panicked eyes as the reed forests and billowing gusts of the Windswept Plateau eventually became the roiling tides and towering coral reefs of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. He could've stopped there, but still, Malikk didn't feel as though he had put enough distance between himself and that... being; more importantly, he needed to somehow prove that what the 'Spiral' had said about his partner wasn't true.

The Bogsneak continued to fly until his wings became too stiff and tired to carry him any farther, and then he landed and continued to run until his paws were too heavy and weary to lift another step; he finally gave up and allowed himself a moment's rest when his shoulders started to ache from him dragging himself through the grass. As Malikk's exhaustion caught up with him and he began to nod off, the Bogsneak took a cautious look around the domain he had brought himself to.

It was strange... he could've sworn that he had been coming close to the Sunbeam Ruins, and yet, this place was dark and dreary like the Tangled Wood; maybe even more so. The whole area was permeated by a thick, impenetrable fog, which twisted and billowed about like waves on the sea. The wind that whistled over Malikk sounded more like faint whispers, in an eldritch language he couldn't understand. The fog weighed heavily on his shoulders and wrapped around him as he slipped into an uneasy unconsciousness.

While Malikk slept, the Shade fragments that infested the Hewn City were drawn to his unconscious form. Preying on his intense fear and paranoia about losing his mate, the Void filled his mind and fully claimed his body, turning his scales a much darker crimson. While the true Malikk still slept, his new form awoke; the dark Bogsneak opened its pitch-black eyes and stretched its limbs, raking its much longer claws across the ground to test them. Satisfied with its new form, the Shade-touched Bogsneak moved on to its next clan, intent on spreading its curse.
  • Rosequinn(#342152)-
The deep crimson, malicious Bogsneak found his way to Leviathan Cove. Like his shade-touched half had set out to do. He brought havoc upon this new clan. Tearing down the buildings and huts. Terrorizing the poor hatchlings. The witch-doctor Niorra, and her seer of a mate, Sirius managed, with the help of the clans warriors. To capture and chain the Bogsneak in a prison cell. Niorra had known the second he step foot in her new precious clan that he was a threat to it. And though in her ancient age and fickleness, she was determined to protect this clan. So for weeks she spent her days performing rituals, removing the fragments of shade from the poor Bogsneak and getting rid of it once and for all.

When the true Malikk finally awoke. He saw the two skydancers adorned in birdskulls standing before him. One he could tell was definitely male, and the other he wasn’t quite sure, it’s red eyes stared at him. From either hate or sympathy he could not tell. They stared at one another until the skydancer finally spoke.
“Darling, go fetch this poor creature some food and water, must be famished.” The skydancer for which he could now tell was a female spoke, in a formal, ancient, but yet gentle voice to the little blue-ish shiny male. The blue skydancer ran off to do as asked. The second he was out of the cave the female looked at him. This time with a deadly glare in her eyes.
“Who are you and what do you want from our clan, first you show up, act as if your normal. But ohh from the second I laid my birdly eye upon you. I saw that darkness that swam in you. Could smell the dark energy seeping from your scales. You dare to attack our clan and almost kill one of us, so I will ask this one time and one time only. WHO ARE YOU” the skydancer yelled, the hatred growing by the second.
Stuttering and scared Malikk replied. “My name is Malikk, and I know not of what I did or how I even got here. I was in Hewn city when I had fallen asleep and that is all I remember happening”

The skydancer glowered at him, and her little yellow speckles glowing as if she was about to strike him with magic. Malikk struggle against the restraints, trying to run but it was no use. So awaiting his final breath he closed his eyes. But that final breath never came. Cracking one eye open, he saw the guardian standing in the door way of the cave. A glowing rune floating above her head and wings adorned in icy chains. She was staring at the skydancer, the skydancer staring back.
“Easy Niorra, no need to strike him. I can see he’s been cured and is to his rightful state of mind. This making him a traveler who is welcome. If you wish you may follow while I give him a tour around the cove Alright” the gentle guardian spoke then looked upon Malikk with her white, eyes.

“I am Quinntalia, matriarch of this clan. You are welcome to stay for as long as you need.” The guardian stated and walked away.
