BIOGRAPHY
She who walks in the sea never fears the pull of the tides. Asherah's egg hatched underwater. Her parents turned their backs on the nest for one second, and the tide came in and carried her unhatched egg out to sea. In a panic, her parents searched, but in vain. The egg was gone. However, the ocean was not unkind to the little blue egg covered in barnacles. How could it be, when her father's very being was tied to the sea? No, the egg sank to the sandy bottom, and when it hatched moments later, Asherah swam with all her might to the surface and rode the next wave into land. How surprised and delighted her parents were when the waves bore her safely, giggling musically in delight, to shore! Her journey below the waves made her look different than her brothers. While they bore iridescent hue and gembond like barnacles, her scales took on a mottled appearance that faded around her mouth, legs, and tail, and carved runes into her side that glowed with ancient magic. Befitting her birth flight, she soon showed signs of becoming a promising sybil, capable of communicating not with the gods, but with water. A child with such a gift should be kept in the Water territories, but as fate would have it, a Nature clan adopted her. The clan's matriarch was Water-born, just like Asherah herself, and instated the young Imperial in her inner court as an Oracle of the Grotto. Asherah's duty was to use her knowledge to provide answers to sailors and pirates who needed to know how safe the seas would be for their journeys. At this, Asherah excelled, and she soon grew to be an honored member of Periphae's court. |

Personality Asherah is a rather playful dragon. She loves toys, especially dolls, and is on a mission to collect all of the elemental sackdolls. She will happily accept toys and other amusing trinkets as payment for her services in lieu of Treasure. When she is not working, she retreats into her own world, happily playing with her dolls, her mind seeming to keep the playful child as she ages. However, when giving prophesies, she never jokes around, and behaves with sincerity and grace befitting her position. She does like to wear things that jingle, however. |
