With a diverse selection of crystals and ores, many imbued with magic, Julien naturally decided that an Arcane home would best suit his profession. As a mineralogist, he studies the structures and growth conditions for all types of minerals, as well as the effect of the magic from those applicable.

Much of his time is spent exploring areas of the Starfall Isles where all sorts of crystals grow. He gathers them and brings them back home, and conducts his studies at the college. Julien has a rather impressive collection of gems, and even has a shop to sell extras. They're usually nothing too rare, but are nice enough for those that have an interest in shimmering treasures.

A very gentle dragon, Julien is rather reserved and quiet. He mostly keeps to himself, focusing on his studies, not too talkative even when working at his shop. It takes a bit for him to open up to others, but is very warm regardless. Once he's comfortable around someone, he'll be a bit more chatty, but there's not a huge difference. Still, he makes pleasant conversations with all who engage him.

He's polite, but has a hard time being honest about negative opinions. If someone expresses distaste for something he enjoys, he'll try to comment in a way they'll find agreeable, likewise for someone that likes something he doesn't. Julien is quite the pushover, having a hard time saying no to others. He also has a habit of withdrawing when overwhelmed, but has a difficult time excusing himself.

One of his close friends is Ambroise, much to others' surprise. Even Julien himself isn't sure why he's so drawn to him, but they get along very well. They'll often discuss their studies and recent finds when adventuring, occasionally even going on outings together. Julien seems more open around Ambroise than anyone else, finding it easier to be honest to him and telling him when something he's saying is very strange. (Ambroise simply nods and continues with his subject, often.)
