Biography
What? Sci and Alyx bought another pair of twins? Shocking.
Bought 25th April 2020 for 1kg
1. Starting colours: Banana/Goldenrod/Ivory
We doing the scatter thing because we haven't taunted RNG enough yet this year.
2. Red/Sapphire/Black
3. Saffron/Orca/Amethyst
4. Spruce/Fern/Metals
5. Mulberry/Yellow/Blue
6. Lavender/Saffron/Vermilion
7. Mulberry/Blush/Antique
8. Shamrock/Vermilion/Fern (an o u o from Alyx)
9. Tarnish/Denim/Magenta (an o u o from Alyx)
We may stop here.
Gonna write some lore down so we have somewhere to start when we get to elaborating! Maybe she'll get a name someday.
An attempt was made to create multi-flight dragons using Lightning eggs on the border of Plague and Arcane territory. It kinda worked, but it's not good for you. Now 'hopkirk' is a spooky ghost running on circus energy. Something something elemental leylines.
Alyx to me:
"So they're both Lightning and then Arcane and Plague
Could also be a mix of "Specific circumstances" on top of say, Leylines that only exist directly on the borders of the two flights
Plague is about survival, yeh?
And Arcane is magic
And then there's the whole mythical connection between twins
And maybe that is why they didn't just outright die
Well, they died
But they didn't leave this plane
They remained
Because of the Plague/Arcane combo?"
me to Alyx:
"i think leylines would be everywhere but definitely that the ones along borders would be what you want to look at if you're wanting to make dual-flighters
and their flights as a reason for being able to stay on as ghosts would be an interesting twist
so where does lightning come in
I'd assume egg-hatched
or at least
genetically draconic
maybe the intent was to merge their flights
to take a fresh plague egg and a fresh arcane egg, on a point on the border where two powerful plague and arcane leylines happened to cross
and use some lightning device
(powered in some horrific way by dead lightning dragons or something?)
to merge them
but the lightning catches stronger than they expect
and so instead of one plague/arcane they get two lighting/other
gosh maybe it was powered by lightning eggs"
Alyx to me:
"If we go the "took inspiration from X group that created the Numbers and who succeeded in making a dual-flight dragon" route
The way I have that thing set up, during the wars that plagued all of Sornieth, it's not too much of a stretch to say that stuff was lost for good
So perhaps, it was doomed to fail from the start"
me to Alyx:
"so there's something that 'holds together' a dual flight dragon
something that has to be hatched as part of them, so old ones keep surviving but you can't make new ones
so you can make a dual flight dragon but it's shredded (literally or metaphorically) by its power
maybe our dragons are actually coincidentally exceptionally elementally weak and that's how they survived to adulthood at all
but also clearly since it was lightning that got dual-flighted maybe the understanding of leylines is also totally wrong and that wrong idea is the prevailing idea in these circles so not many groups even get the second step of 'find crossing leylines of the correct flight' right"
"it's a sort of weird two-way thing
yours anchors mine to Sornieth despite mine being properly dead
mine gives yours access to enough spooky ghost power from the spooky ghost realms to continue doing something that looks more like being alive"
