Biography

Sia grins at the veiwer,

An eternal cycle wrings her neck, what is bound grows to depend on the pressure; pulled from the silt it begins to fall apart. There is nothing left that she cannot endure, when there is nothing left she will not endure.

Defy nature with nurture, pull them apart and put them back together as many times as it takes.

I'll articulate this better later, but this is the general concept of her lore.

She's paradoxically both a deadbeat dad and has been present for the entirety of her children's lives. She has an issue with playing god, shaping or reshaping dragons into unstoppable beasts that she then turns loose on the world. When the first inevitably escaped her control that is when the cycle of predation began, to deal with her firstborn she birthed her second, the apex of her predators. Though her eldest did not remain dead, he was reborn again in a form that could seek revenge on his sibling, Able finds Cain and judges him with fury and stone. At this point, her creations have separated into independent food chains, with some split off in pairs of endless revenge and other constantly fight amongst a mass of flesh for the fleeting moment where they are finally the predator and not the prey. She cannot kill them, and they cannot kill each other in a way that matters, so she lures them into pits and caverns. Shrouding her creations in darkness where they could never draw the ire of the gods. She could not end their suffering through her own cruel selfishness, she would be just as capable as any of the deities, but she would not let them take away the lives that were hers. Her children may be trapped where they no longer have access to the surface, though they do not care, they only have eyes for each other and teeth to share. Sia is not trapped with them, but she ensures that they will not be lost from her. Single-handedly, she closes each beam of light that reaches the caverns that hold them, unwitting to the dragons that were already within those caverns as their obsequies are signed upon bloody stone.

This is the idiot that keeps closing all the exits to Obsequies because she decided to play Dr. Frankenstein and was far too attached to her unkillable monster's bloody and self-fulfilling prophecies to put an end to any of them, despite that being the very thing she was attempting to do when she first perpetuated her problem.

I love it when an inarguably cool and powerful dragon just kinda sucks and doesn't do anything significant to the plot deliberately, like yeah, she 100% is driving a major plot point, but she also had absolutely no clue that she's doing anything at all beyond saving her kids/damning whatever random bystanders that get caught up in her kids fights.

I think her mentality was that, “being immortal sucks but not in the same way it sucks for all these other immortals”, and she didn't want to be alone anymore, she wanted more dragons to be miserable in the same way that she was, but now it's just become “blood-sports are fun!”, as she watches her creations tear each other apart once again. Adrenaline triumphs over misery, and her creations are all the entertainment she needs for another century.

Hmm, link her kids. They're in Obsequies of course, probably pretty obvious who they are if you look at the lore blurbs... I don't think I'll add too many of them, just assume the ones I don't have at this point are just a mass of flesh in the bottom of a pit somewhere that is constantly digesting and birthing itself.
