B I O G R A P H Y

Hikari comes from an ancient family, who descend from the Lightweaver's very first children, it is said. Her powers in Light manipulation are unfathomable,
beyond anything seen before by the clan.She could make the day turn to night, or night turn to day, just through the sheer volume of Light she is capable of controlling. She is modest in her powers though, and rarely uses them, preferring to instead hide away in her den, pondering some of life's most difficult questions. Her favourite thing to ask is why. By asking why, you can find so many answers, she likes to claim. She always, always carries her book with her, and uses it to write down the answer to the questions she has asked, and to write down new questions she finds most interesing.

She is a kind dragon, who hates to cause pain, and is terribly against suffering of any kind. She is always, always calm. There has not been one time when a dragon has seen her become emotional, although she does fret a bit if she can't find the answer to one of her questions. She has a smooth, kind voice, which is easy on the ears. She always speaks very quietly, and hates loud noises. She does not need her eyes to see, and prefers to continue without them, as she relies on the 'currents of light' as she calls it, which she feels, and uses to maneuver, hence why she hates the darkness, where she can't see physically of through the currents. The only time she does take off the veil is to write, something she does a lot. She has an impressive collection of ink kept in her den, which she uses for more than just writing. She bathes her hands in it, and due to her runic properties, it does not dry, but soaks into her skin. She uses the ink she soaks to create new memories on her pearl, unlike the mucus most pearlcatcher uses. She finds it feels more 'poetic', and also thinks the usage of mucus is quite disgusting.

Hikari is remarkably intelligent, and wise. She always knows just what to say, and when it should be said. Her strength, meanwhile, is more lacking. In fact,
she is very weak, in physical prowess. She relies totally on her light powers to help her in any conflict, although she always prefers to avoid it.

____Hikari holds an ancient power within her, passed down from generation to generation, in the hands of the Pure Scholars. It is said the Lightweaver Herself bestowed this gift upon the family. Her Heavenly Light, as she calls it, is a bright beam of light she uses to guide those who are lost, and not just physically.
Staring straight into this beam can soothe the mind, and help a dragon find a solution to all of their troubles. She uses this power often, as it brings her great joy to help those in need.

____Hikari cannot lie. It is impossible. Nor can she break a promise, she is sworn under that oath. She also has the power, of the Lady's Promise. When she bestows a Lady's Promise upon another, they are forced to keep that promise, else they shall suddenly die in a most terrible way. With her hatred towards violence, she is disgusted by this power, but has been forced to use it in her life time, as she sadly regrets. Another part of the reason she so hates this power is because she is under it's very same influence, so she sympathizes.
