The seldom seen - but somehow always near - custodian of Amberspire.
Labine isn't the only cleaning staff of the castle by any means; he is the head of the cleaning crew that works on the non-private levels. He is also keyholder for the more limited areas, and has free access to all but Pepper's private quarters.

To clean them up, of course. There is absolutely no reason to question why he is officially employed to Lady Pepper herself, rather than the castle overall as his coworkers are.


He's wonderful at his job, cleaning quickly and efficiently, and constantly checking off his list and making notes. He is near-silent and adept at keeping out of the way.

One is unlikely to notice he is even there.
