In spite of his rather grim occupation, Tartaros is actually quite amicable in daily life. He has an unwavering sense of loyalty to those he considers his, and it is this, combined with his incredibly strong desire for justice and a life debt to the clan's Matriarch, that led him onto the path he is.

If you ever hurt; maim; or, Flamemother forbid, kill one he loves: run far, and run fast. Surround yourself with as many experienced fighters as possible, for Tartaros will not stop pursuing you until he has slain you, or is killed himself.

Pastimes include reading from his considerably-sized library; brewing varieties of tea which he will freely offer to often wary visitors; tending to his own patch of carefully grown Fire Flowers; and spending time with his daughter Mirica.
