Biography
Along the outer borders of the Zephyr Steppes, a small spiral hatchling huddled in the reeds beside the cool waters of a cool grassland stream. Her dark body, highlighted with bright orange markings made hiding quite difficult and it wasn't long before she was spotted by Meiko, a young water dragon who had been conversing with a small school of glass minnows.
There was something strange about this hatchling, but what? She couldn't put her claw on it. Deciding that her best bet would be to ask for assistance before approaching the mysterious babe, Meiko, making sure that the hatchling was sleeping (or appeared to be), rushed back to the Dragonfly Clan to get Jett. Jett was a Night Warrior. He would know what to do.
Upon their return, they found the little spiral awake and trying to stay hidden in the reeds without much success. Meiko, still getting a strange feeling from the small creature, tried to convince Jett that their best bet might be to just leave it alone. But, Jett would not hear of it. As is common with Guardians when they have come across their charge, he felt an overwhelming urge to protect the hatchling.
Overshadowing any sense of foreboding, the urge to protect spurred Jett on to approach the youngster. Realizing that she had been spotted, she began hissing and clawing, trying to get away. This had no effect on the large Guardian, and Jett scooped her up in one big paw, bringing her up to eye-level.
"That will be enough now, Little One. You're safe.", he whispered to her.
"Yes," she thought, cocking her head to the side, "but you aren't."
