______Celestia was not always known by this name; before Galaxia came to her planet, the princess held a name of her own. But when Planet Celestia was destroyed, the Skydancer princess took on the name of her now-fractured world, embodying it in every way as a symbol of resistance against Galaxia's assault on Alliance planets.

______She now resides on Planet Millenium, working with other Silver System leaders to fight against the Galaxian threat. Though nominally all worlds in the Silver System belong to the Dracoflight Alliance, its distance from Alliance hubs renders aid virtually unreachable, though not for lack of trying. The Alliance helps out mostly by holding Silver System hatchlings in safety while adult dragons work to defend their planets.

______Though Celestia is still young, she knows that any hatchlings she will have will be sent off to be adopted into other Alliance worlds; she is the last of her people, and she has decided to remain a symbol of resistance. And symbols lead stifling lives; any hatchlings acknowledged by her would be expected to carry on her legacy.

______Celestia does not intend to have any legacy to leave.
