From a young age, Octavius didn't display what his linage should have bred into him. He wasn't bold and brash, like his one mother. If anything, he took the sweet tone of his second mother, though there was something clearly lacking that both mothers had. In the face of battle, Octavius shrunk. He dropped weapons, skipped training time. Octavius was a coward. Though both mothers were disappointed, they couldn't not love their son. However, he felt as though he had failed them. How could a joining of warriors so fierce leave them with a child so witless? Though they endorsed every hobby he ever expressed interest in, Octavius still left as soon as his wings were big enough to carry him. He picked up work. Mercenary work was not something he could do. He froze in the face of danger, and he shook in his armor. He had to wait tables and tend bars, feed the masses for a poor sum of treasure. But, he could do something else for his riches. It turns out, with a smiling face, no one checks the food. |

At a first glance, Octavious is a kind and boisterous dragon. He has no shortage of personality, and fits the mold of warm bartender nicely. He's not assertive enough to be scary, but enough that he sells a ton of mead with very little trouble. He can be loud, though. He has a laugh that can be heard in even the most packed of pubs, and when he's excited his voice can reach a decibel that is downright uncomfortable. He has the kind of face that's easy to talk to. He's learned secrets from the most grizzled of warriors he's sure have never told a story a day in their lives. He's an avid listener but he knows when to speak. He could get the location of the crown jewels if left alone with the wrong person for long enough. His biggest flaw, besides the cowardice, is his tendency to be pushy. He pushes others to their limits almost on instinct, and has gathered a few grudges because of it. |
