The blistering winds of December swept through the plains. Slosh squished beneath its feet as it lumbered past lightning-struck trees still smoldering from the recent wave of storms. Every evening a blackened sky rolled in and all of its hairs stood on end in anticipation. It lumbered and groaned across the tundras, narrowly missed by wrath-filled bolts of lightning. No cities came peering out of the horizon, no matter how far it wandered looking. The only thing it ever did stumble across were its own sunken footprints.
