As every other Wildclaw's hatchling, Kheriif was rising in the Scarred Wasteland with her brothers and sisters. Since the first moment her orange colors with brown belly got the attention of many others dragons who still remembered the life on the first lairs in the Shrieking Wilds. Soon she was considered special in her home land; she was quicker, stronger and fiercer than any other hatchling

But when she had to prove that she was an adult dragon with the traditional ritual "hunger hunter" of her people, things turned wrongs. The ritual -as a way to prove to the clan that you are mature enought to hunt food for your future family- have only one main event: the prospect has to go outside the homeland and comeback with a strange piece of food from another flight territory... all of this without eat.

Kherrif was confident about the test and didn't doubt about taking it first. She walked and walked about ten sun periods until she reached the Nature Flight Territory. Her hunting skills were impressive but the forest was blooming with all the bright colors of the trees and flowers, so the natural orange of her wings highlighted her every time she tried to reach a bunny. Until it was too late, the hunger takes her to the ground when she was trying to hunt a little bunny... everything went black

When she opened her eyes there were some grapes at her side and a pack of meat. But she was too weak to go, so she ate them and felt asleep. When she woke up there was a bunny waiting for her with some seafood. So she ate them again and felt asleep... again, and again, and again.

One week later, Khariif was able to get up and search for whoever was helping her all that time. She tracked the stranger's footstep until reach a part of the wood that she felt familiar. The orange leaves, the strong brown trunks, even the soft dirt at her feet, there was some sensation of comfort in the air that made her feel like home. In the middle of this autumn wood was sitting a single dragon. Khariif closed the distance between them and showed her teeth but the tundra didn't move.

She touched him and a vision invaded her mind. She saw the sun traveling the sky many years ago, saw the nights with different moons and the winters following the springs across the years. Until she saw an egg, bouncying, rolling away from her native nest in the meadow until a merchant founded it in the middle of a route. The merchant kept it and took care of it until it hatched. A beautiful wildclaw came from it and the merchant gave her a home in the Scarred Wasteland, his homeland.

There, in the middle of the woods with the misterious tundra at her side, Khariif lost her sight. But her blindness was not a curse, when her eyes stops working her mind starts traveling between the past and the future, following the change of the seasons across the time.

And the daughter of the autumn meadow finally reached home...
