there is an untouchable quality to drift that leaves most dragons uncomfortable. he holds an aura of mystery, aloof and insubstantial, like a ghost in its own residual plane. it doesn't help that he is never seen without his mask and wrappings, or that he seldom speaks or reacts to the presence of others. even as a hatchling he was silent and easy to miss, not joining the clan so much as appearing in its lair one day and residing there since.

what dimension does he perceive if not the world of his clanmates? what prompted him to find and adorn the large skull that masks his face? not even the progenitors know. the only one who may have an answer is Deiene, and she's certainly not telling.
