The Living Kite

Cloudsong was one of Asi's very first experiments. It probably shouldn't have resulted in a living kite, but then Asi also probably shouldn't have been screwing around with life and souls. Regardless, Cloudsong is happy to be alive, even if she is just a dragon-shaped kite. She considers Asi as her father, much to his exasperation. He named her after the Wind kite formation she resembles.

Cloudsong is very upbeat about, everything. There's a certain vivacious cheerfulness about her at almost all times. "She certainly seems to love being alive" Thicket once commented, and that really sums it up. As a kite, Cloudsong is extra sensitive to weather and any coming changes. She eventually came to recognize the patterns of the winds and weather but didn't have any words to back up her feelings.

Very curious and determined, she set up a work space in the living area she shares with Asi and began to really study the weather patterns. Before long she could explain when and why weather patterns were changing, and Requiem quickly asked if she would mind working as the local weather forecaster. She gratefully accepted.

Cloudsong spends most of her free time outside, and even sleeps in a nest on the roof of Asi's home. Since she's prone to being carried off by even a gentle wind, she must be tied down when she sleeps. Cloudsong carries a package of uniquely scented bamboo in the folds of herself, so that if she is ever blown away she will be easier to track down. Rebellion had to put this in place after Cloudsong was once lost for a week because of a sudden strong windstorm.
