Cupid

Cupid was once part of the Thick Shadows Pack with his mate Bianca and his daughter Ethelinda. He lived with his twenty-four brothers and sisters when he was a hatchling in a different Pack. His parents raised him well in his Pack. but left his birth Pack to be with Bianca.

While the two only had Ethelinda, they lived a happy life. He wasn't the most popular, but he was well-respected in his Pack. Life was pretty good for the dragon until a power struggle broke out.

The children of the leader of the Pack, Poison, and Shrina, both wished for control of the Pack.

Poison believed the best way to lead the Pack was through claiming arches upon arches of territory. The Pack would also fight anyone that opposed them. Her philosophy was that they'd be so powerful that everyone would fear them and never harm them.

Shrina, on the other hand, believed that fighting was the worst way to gain power. Instead, making peace between other packs and negotiating trade deals would be a better solution. And if an enemy were to attack, they'd have allies to back them up.

Dima, the former matriarch, and leader of the Pack, was too old and weak to stop them. So, the Pack was forced to pick sides and fight in a long power struggle.

Bianca believed that Poison was right since she was tired of being bossed around by enemies. But Cupid and his daughter Ethelinda thought that peace instead of fighting would be a better choice. Cupid didn't want to put his daughter through a war. Instead, he preferred long trade discussions over long wars. This caused Bianca and Cupid to start fighting.

Slowly, Bianca started to ignore Cupid and Ethelinda. Cupid tried to treat Bianca by giving her gifts and attempted to spend more time with him. However, Bianca snapped at him, saying he was just a scared fool.

That was when Bianca gave birth to a brood of eggs and said that that the father was not Cupid, but instead, a Nocturne Dragon named Keelan. She also disowned Ethelinda and made Cupid her former mate.

Cupid was heartbroken, but he had to stay strong since his daughter was in a constant state of depression. Ethelinda blamed herself for Cupid and Bianca splitting up and her mother cheating on her father. She watched as her half-sisters, Cordelia and Perdita, hatch and her mother give them more attention.

But luckily, Cupid's childhood friend came to the rescue. Countess was Cupid's closest friend and was there for Ethelinda when she needed her. Countess, never having hatchlings of her own, treated Ethelinda like a daughter and raised her to adulthood.

The three realized their safety was in jeopardy, however, when Poison assassinated Shrina and took control of the Pack. Cupid, Countess, and Ethelinda took off with various other members of the Pack who were supports of Shrina and went to find a new home with Bianca, Keelan, and Poison on their trail.

Finally, Cupid, Countess, and Ethelinda went off on their own in the hopes of finding a Pack to take them in.

Luckily, they did! When the group was hiding out in the Lesser Lair of Tsunami Falls when they met a hunting patrol. It was led by the leader of the Misty Shores Pack, Laila and her mate, a Mirror Dragon named Adney. Cupid asked for a place in the Pack and promised to work extra hard to earn their spot. Laila distrusted them at first, so they did small tasks around the camp to gain Laila's trust.

Now, Cupid lives happily in his new Pack with his new mate, Countess. Ethelinda supported his decision to become mates with Countess completely. Now, Countess and Cupid are expecting three hatchlings.
