Biography
He remembers the first time he saw her; it was just after he arrived in the Singing Lair. They were having the Longest Night celebration. The festival is a week long, and the first day is always the pageant and the feast.
She was playing the Lightweaver.
She was right for it, visually. Golden and glowing, bedecked in shimmering silks. She laughed, and Tanvir felt a sort of bliss.
He had fallen in love with a fantasy, though, not a dragon. He was stern, logical, academic. He had spent his youth as a Marshall - a paladin in the church of the Lightweaver. She was carefree and gentle, and found herself drawn to the loose ways of the Windsinger.
They mate-bonded. Then they argued.
It got so bad that Terpsichore insisted the mate-bond be annulled; Zuriel protested that such a thing had never been done before in the clan.
She pointed out that the Windsinger was flighty, and likely would not approve of such permanent bonds in any case.
Tanvir protested, but Terpsichore insisted that he would accept the annulment or she would cast him out of the clan. He agreed, finally, but insisted he would leave the clan and never return.
He hasn't left. Not yet...
