Aglilnir spends most of his time locked away in his laboratory. He has little interest in anything outside of his alchemical pursuits. He spends his days locked away inside his lab, only interacting with his assistant, Mewryn. He's gruff and curt, known locally as a hermit. Few people actually see the results of his experimentation, outside of his laboratory shaking and spewing smoke.

He had grown up in a small village tucked away in the Crystalspine Reaches. At a young age, he had begun experimenting with alchemy on his own in the outskirts of his village. He managed to keep his experiments a secret from his fellow villagers, with the exception of the village alchemist, who took him under her wing. Aglilnir was a quick learner and absorbed everything taught to him.

When he was old enough he left the village to begin further research. He found his way to Mistide due to its position on the frontier of the Beastclans. Strange alchemical phenomena haunt the city, though the other citizens don't seem to notice. Aglilnir is obsessed with hunting down the source of these discrepancies, believing they will lead to breakthrough alchemical advantments.
