Boomer was born in an unknown Lightning nest, but dwelt to begin with amongst the Arcane dragons. He and his sisters Valerii and Corvfe thirsted for adventure. The young dragons snuck out of their nest to fight beasts in the Coliseum. Often times hatchlings can be foolish creatures, this was one of those times. The three young dragons were beaten easily by a Luna Mith, Valerii and Boomer made it out ok, but Corvfe did not survive...

...Furious with the two dragons, the Arcanist banished them from the clan, and his realm all together. Fortunately, their half-brother Chakotay was more than happy to take in the two hatchlings. Time passed and Boomer isolated himself often reading ancient tomes or tracing paths out on maps. Meanwhile Valerii was learning from Captain Janeway on how to pilot the Voyager, with much trial and error.

...By the time he was fully grown, Boomer had become the navigator of the Voyager, While his sister became the Helmsman.
