Aspida

Aspida is many things. Brave, passionate, adventurous, protective. But he is also secretive. He had no close friends, few friends at all, in fact. Confusing to some as his warm nature beckons talk and friendly banter.

However, he still is mysterious, more then anything else. Completely, absolutely, undeniably trustworthy, but so soaked in mystery and secrecy that those who were unaware of his prowess on the battlefield and personality might very well have mistaken him for untrustworthy. It doesn't matter to him. He is his own dragon. He doesn't need his secrets and thoughts strung out for others to see. He is content with his secrets.

Aspida is focused on perfecting his barrier magic; he uses his shield to deflect blows and protect comrades while maintaining a cool head amidst battle. Stern but compassionate, he is an excellent guard with a good eye at spotting intruders. He gains his adventurous nature from his mother. Deterred by little he has roamed all of the lands and its hidden nooks in crannies, both alone and with companions. His pearl is kept safe in a magic locked box that only he can open. Some say that its cracked and others say its in perfect condition. Only Aspida knows of its condition.

He stood upon the sand dune, its soft sands nuzzling between his digits. Colder than ice, he mused, as it tried desperately to suck the heat from his body; storms in Lightning's desert invited both cold and hot flashes, both deadly to the naïve. His claws' pads were thick, tough, adapted to the unforgiving terrain. Looking up to the stormy skies he could see glimpses of lightning drawing closer. A storm. His wings hummed with built of static, to stretch them out invited the crackling of electricity as it leaked out from his body. A large storm at that. He was on a journey, sent from home with one task at hand. To find another that belonged to him. His siblings were long gone, he was the last of the nest. He would be the one to survive. Narrowing his eyes he searched the forever shifting landscape til he saw a dot on the horizon. There. Flamecaller's domain, equally brutal as Stormcatcher's.... That will be his home.
