"Alverton's one and only mayor, the most dashingly handsome and talented mayor, a mayor for the ages that nobody could contest-" there's a reason why Mayor Green has someone else write speeches for him nowadays. In typical ridgeback fashion, the drake loves to talk about himself above all else, which shouldn't be good for the polls, but apparently it is? Like all successful politicians, Pascal is a master of meandering around a subject and distracting the audience from any questions asked to talk about the real important topics like, hey! Did you notice the elegant curve of his nose yet? How about now? Green has been Alverton's mayor for nearly ten years in a row now, and with the way this town seems to hate change, it looks like he might be holding that position for many more to come. He isn't completely clueless when it comes to addressing problems, but it seems that's the extent of any action he'll take when the public raises concern. The roads need re-paving? Someone will fix them eventually. The parks are full of litter? It'll be dealt with soon enough. The crime rates are climbing? Don't worry, things will be fine. There's no jobs? Everything will work out fine in the end. Yes there's always talk of some magical someone or something that will wash the people's worries away, though Pascal won't let on as to who or what they are. One thing's for certain, when it comes to fixing things around here, this supposed saviour sure is taking their sweet time... |
