Aka- Elder Advisor- The Tragic Veteran

Aka is the clan's advisor. Think of him as a friendly grandfather that is always willing to listen. Hallow met Aka during his travels, and the two got along very well. Aka is respected by all, and even the most vicious dragons seek him for advice and comfort. Many wonder why Aka is not the leader, but Aka doesn't want to be in charge- Hallow is far better at the job, in his opinion. Aka is one of the five founders of the clan, along with Hallow, Flow, Shredder, and Eve. Of the five, only four remain, but they have never found it difficult to function well. Aka is often found in the company of Reaper and Flow, one who is his assistant, and one who was his ward- however, once Flow regained her mind, she still enjoyed Aka's company, and they often talk about what she had missed while she had lost her mind.

Born in the great floating city of the Cloudsong, Aka studied magic at a young age. A librarian with an eager hunger for history and knowledge of the mythical world, Aka studied night and day- like most Imperials, he wished to master a craft. He wanted to be an amazing magician, a mage with the power to help the world around him. Aka continued to grow in knowledge and power, surpassing all other students and become the brightest mage in his group. He was soon accompanying stronger mages on journeys across the land as an apprentice. Over his many travels, he met various members of the band. He quickly developed a friendship with a young Fire Imperial.

His name was Brimstone, and he hailed from the Molten Scar in the Ashfall Waste. He was around Aka's age and was training to be a great warrior. His strength was already on par with Imperials far older, and he had a discipline that was admirable. The only other Imperial their age that could match Brimstone was an Ice Imperial named Stark. Stark was cold and rather quiet, but still a good fighter. The three continued with their party for a long time. They would solve disputes and fight in battles to keep peace. It was a simple life.

But one day, a band of rogues they thwarted chased the group down, seeking revenge. Aka and Brimstone prepared themselves for the fight of their lives, but Stark was different. The icy dragon had cut a deal with the rogues for a good pay and spot in their order if he delivered Aka and Brimstone (as well as their fellow warriors) to the rogues. Stark abandoned the two and a horrible fight broke out. Aka's mentors were caught off guard and killed rather quickly, while Aka and Brimstone fought to hold the enemies off. But as the battle raged on, someone noticed the fallen Imperial corpses writhing.

Aka was frozen in horror as they started to form together into a monstrosity only mentioned by his mother as a hatchling. But before the Emperor could completely form, Brimstone sprung into action, burning and charring the corpses one after the other. Aka jumped in, fanning the flames with his wind to increase Brimstone's power. Stark and the other rogues ran away, while Aka and Brimstone and the survivors limped away. From then on, Aka and Brimstone accepted each other as brothers to fight on, against Stark or any other villain that crossed their path.

Time passed. Aka and Brimstone were now a duo, traveling the world and continuing their work. Brimstone was a renowned warrior, while Aka was a glorious battle mage. The two were well known for honor and glory, and rumored to be an invincible duo. Aka and Brimstone were strong, but allowed their power to make them careless at times- they truly believed they were unstoppable. They were often commissioned or hired to do jobs, but they were also known for their kindness and charity. One such job was to stop raiders in the Southern Icefield. The two Imperials accepted the job with confidence.

They were shocked to learn that the raiders were led by none other than Stark. From his days of joining rogues, the Imperial had climbed higher and higher into power, now commanding a group of warriors that were fighting in the Southern Icefield. At the height of their power, Aka and Brimstone believed they were the best for the job. But they had underestimated how powerful Stark had grown as well. The fighting raged for hours, but in the middle of the attack, Stark managed to land a mortal blow on Brimstone. Aka cried in sorrow as Brimstone fell to the ground, dead. Aka unleashed his strongest spells to drive the raiders away. He crawled across the several bodies to hold Brimstone in his arms. The other Imperial was slowly dying, and Aka held him long after his breath had stopped. He then buried Brimstone far away, the Emperor incident fresh in his mind.

Aka wandered in his exile for many years, growing weary and older in age. Even when he was still young, he had aged quickly, his tiredness from losing Brimstone taking a toll on him. Eventually, he came across a lost Tundra named Hallow. The two of them spoke with one another about life and their pasts. They traveled together, struggled together, but they managed to survive. Once they came across the Fae named Flow, the three began to form a Clan for themselves. Over time, as more and more dragons joined, Aka felt the emptiness in his heart be filled. Despite Brimstone being gone, he could still find others to love and care for. Aka retired and joined the Clan as an advisor. While he truly desired a home and a family to fill his void, there was another reason- Hallow's father had apparently managed to subdue a certain Imperial and lock him up as prisoner. As long as Stark was inside the Azeryx Clan's walls, Aka would be there to watch him.

During the Bringer War, Aka had remained on the sidelines, observing the battle sadly. However, he had a sense...a sense that Brimstone was nearby. His worst fears surfaced when he discovered that Shredder had taken his comrade and raised him from the dead in the form of a hideous Emperor. Forced to watch his fallen brother reduced to a murderous puppet, Aka was the one who told everyone how to defeat the beast. Eventually, Bringer was frozen solid by a combination of Ice attacks, and his frozen body has been dropped to the bottom of the sea.

In the post war times, Aka has remained somber over his brother's fate, but has found comfort in talking with Flow and being with his Clan.

Aka is respected and treated well by all, although some of the more wily and younger dragons feel like he's got cobwebs in his brain.
