Tsunami - The Flightless Storm
"I still dream of the sky, of the wind beneath my wings. I will never forgive them for taking it from me."

A sturdy warrior that towers over most dragons, Tsunami is a formidable opponent. The Enclave took over his training ever since he was a young hatchling, yet he could never find it within himself to hate the Council as his mentors did. Soon after arriving at the clan he discovered that his charge was the emotion-feeder Silence, who unfortunately was a member of said Council. He watched over her for months in secret before the Enclave found out and ordered I.D.E.A. to tear her claws deep into his wings. Although the android would normally not respond to such a command, at the time she had been hacked by an Enclave member and therefore carried out the brutal order. For weeks he hid away deep in the caves, as spiders built cobwebs on his horns and mushrooms grew on his back. In time his wounds healed, but it was clear he would never fly again.Not allowing his handicap to deter him, he moves through the lair with confidence and draws himself up tall. The Enclave has left him alone for the most part, though he cannot tell if it is because they are satisfied with their revenge or if they fear his retribution. Ever since that fateful day, he has grown quite bitter, yet he is still passionately dedicated to his charge. Though he knows little magic, he has joined the Council to make his job easier and to provide himself with protection against further Enclave attacks.

To a Guardian, his charge is more important than his own life. To find one's charge is a great accomplishment, a time of joy and celebration. For me, it should have been no different. Alas, things did not turn out as well as I expected. The Enclave had no issue with me having a charge – that is, until I discovered who it actually was. Of all the luck, it turned out to be a Council member – an oddly emotionless pearlcatcher by the name of Silence. How would I be able to protect someone allied with our nemesis? The Enclave would never hear of such a thing.
She wanted nothing to do with me. Oh, she was polite, but she was a lone spirit, and avoided the subject of being a charge. I'd say she was afraid if not for her condition. Despite her misgivings, I made sure to watch over her in secret. I was less worried about her finding out and more worried about Nyx. The bitter-minded nocturne would destroy us both given half a chance.
It was only a matter of time.
Secrets cannot be hidden from Noctis, and she reported my transgression directly to the Enclave. When they came for us, I met them with all the wrath of a guardian protecting their charge. Yet even I could not withstand the claws of I.D.E.A., the android who knew only to do what she was told. It was not her fault.
In that moment of mind-numbing pain, my change came willingly to me for the first time. "Come with me. You must go to the healers at once." Her tone was strange, trembling, full of genuine feeling. I looked down at the pearlcatcher with a raised brow. Her face displayed an expression I'd never seen on her before.
"I...thought...you..." I could barely speak.
She whirled back upon me, the color leeching out of her pearl as she made use of the emotions stored within. It was anger this time, clearly. "Why must you sacrifice for me?! Do you not understand? I feel nothing, I AM nothing." Was she crying?
"I..." I struggled to my feet and stared gravely at her. "It is you who does not understand." The snow beneath my feet began to stain red. "It is not a matter of who or what you are. It is the simple fact that you are my change, and as such, to me you are everything."
She stared at me for a few moments. The pearl was white now, having used up all her reserves. Soon she dipped her head at me, an admission that she accepted my words. "I...thank you."
We went to the healers together - and to my great surprise, she stayed by by side all night.
