______ Seemingly old as time itself, Shasuka -- the lair matriarch for as long as anyone could remember -- never seemed to lose the spark of youth or fire in her belly, and for that reason, young dragons of the lair loved to estimate her age in hushed tones. She is known for being strict, rigid, and unyielding... but seems to care for her lair in a way that nobody else can. Her heart may be guarded by steel walls, but behind it is the love and compassion of a mother. She would fiercely defend her lair to the death 10 times over.

______ Though Shasuka has mothered many hatchlings, watched them go out into the world on their own, she has had the pleasure of many hatchlings remaining home and strengthening the numbers in their home-lair. These hatchlings are treated with no more coddling than the other dragons, however -- if anything, Shasuka expects much more from them than the average dragon. It is her version of tough-love, and her children can see that... even though they may hate it sometimes.
