Biography

Though his body is of the shadows, of darkness and midnight, his wings carry light, dispelling shadows and whatever may be hiding in them. Glowing runes help to penetrate the darkness--indeed, nothing is ever pitch-black as long as he's around. Bhasakara is a finder of truth, separating out what is real and what is not--he is the one to record and analyze, to uncover every rock in search of that one grain of truth. Invocation of his runes helped him little in his search, but greatly in other ways. Every movement, every flap of his wings, sheds light, small sparks that--despite their size--have the potential to light up entire rooms. He is the light maker, the light-bringer, the father of light itself, the one who has made it his mission to root out deception and lies, and replace them with his own shining truth. Trickery and subterfuge thrive best in the shadows, after all, but honesty belongs to the light.

He has taken to experiments, on himself and on others, to discover their own truths. The search of truth has not left him wholly stable--invocation has made him firmly believe that his mission here on Sorneith, and given to him by the deities themselves, is to destroy that which is not real, that which is not the raw truth. Bhasakara was like this even before invocation, true, but to a far lesser degree--back then, he did not have a purpose to believe in, believe in so fully that he would even forsake himself. Falsehoods, lies, chicanery, subterfuge, deception--he shall destroy it all, even if it means doing the same to those who hid the truth. Morality has little place in his relentless desire for honesty and pure facts. He has love for his family, of course, and cares for them deeply, but would not hesitate to kill if they turned to hiding truth. Emotions, as well, are to be hidden, because they only interfere. They only confuse what is real, what is accurate and genuine.
