Bracken

Bracken is very odd for a Guardian Dragon. While his mother, Midnight, is the very protective leader of the Rushing Rapids Clan, he doesn't show any Guardian Dragon traits. In fact, he shares more traits with his father, Blizzard, a Tundra dragon.

Bracken isn't a very strong dragon, which is very rare for a Guardian Dragon. While he has tough scales, he is easily beaten in play fights. His claws aren't made for fighting either, they look like they are made for digging and scavenging.

The young hatchling his very timid and shy, but he gets along well with his younger brother, Emberwisp. Even though he is much smaller than his younger brother, Bracken secretly made Emberwisp his Charge, meaning he'll guard his brother with his life. Because Emberwisp doesn't know about his, he makes a really big effort to guard his older brother.

Bracken really doesn't care about leadership and cares more about helping the small in others ways, like catching small animals and collecting tiny plants for food. Yet Emberwisp really wants to be leader one day, so Bracken helps him train.

Even though he isn't like most Guardian dragons, Midnight loves her son profusely and understands how much he wants to help his younger brother. Bracken is a very patient, caring, and loyal hatchling and his parnts can't wait to see how he grows up.
