Biography

As a child, saying that Carl was vain would have been an understatement. He was a lovely hatchling, all in matching shades of pink, but it was his feathers that were his pride and joy. From the moment he emerged from his egg, his wings blazed with vibrant colors, decorated in patterns no one in the clan had before seen. His parents doted on him, and he loved to flaunt his beauty in front of the others his age. He was just the slightest bit spoiled, and looking forward to a bright future- that is, until the gembond disease began to manifest.

It hadn’t made itself apparent until he was a teenager, but small, lime green lesions began to manifest across his body. He was horrified- he was a dragon of pinks and reds and yellows, he didn’t have room for an obnoxious shade of green. For some time he wasn’t sure what to do with himself, how to save his fashion sense. The solution, when it struck him, seemed simple: he’d just have to make the green match.

It was quite an undertaking, and at first he didn’t know where to begin. But slowly, slowly, he began collecting scraps of fabric and fur, perfecting the perfect shade of neon dye. He made himself the most eye-catching outfit he possibly could, just daring the others to make a comment, and it might just be his vanity but he thinks he’s pulled it off rather nicely.

Now Carl is the clan’s main tailor and dye maker, in charge of arranging accessories for his clanmates and making new ones when the need arises. He enjoys using his skills to assist the less fashion forward, and it’s his personal goal to ensure that every dragon looks stunning- though none are more stunning than him, obviously.
