Aurel's Search lead her through the desert, leaving her birth clan to find her charge. She would burrow herself into the sand for shelter, wearing her garb to protect her face and ease her breathing. This burrowing brought awareness to how much she enjoyed digging, as she would often find treasures below the surface. It was upon ambling through this wasteland that she found Ophelia, abandoned, hungry, and alone. She then imprinted on her, taking her under her wing. The two fell in love, and Aurel quickly realised that Ophelia was her charge; who she would devote her life to taking care of.

One day, after an attack by a horde of bonepriest (one of the horde members, impressed by her combat ability decided to befriend the two) they decided to search for a blacksmith able to bestow them with a weapon. Passing dragons alerted them of Pilgrim, who had slowly been gaining traction for his gift in armour and sword smithing. It is through Pilgrim that the two were introduced to Dovah's clan, where they live together.

Aurel's role is to lead excavation attempts and to find buried treasure for the clan, and is often successful for her nose for the hidden and her strong intuition. She also enjoys taking care of the clan's hatchlings who decide to stay with the clan.
