An old imperial who tends to the hotsprings that borders Singer's brook and the high cliffs of Reedcleft Ascent. Leaf is also a highly skilled healer, and quite often he is kept busy tending to sick dragons who come seeking his aid or directing travelling dragons to the bathing or meditation pools depending on their goals, where they will be looked after by his assistants Rosita and Babbage.

Although his voice is mostly muffled by the mask he wears near constantly, he speaks in gentle soft tones that put others at ease. This aids greatly in his line of work, especially when dealing with sickly hatchlings.

Leaf adopted Babbage when her egg had been left abandoned by previous visitors. Given the poor health of one imperial visitor in particular, Leaf has his suspicions as to why this happened but he raised her as his own regardless and Babbage now aids her father in tending the springs.

Rosita became his apprentice when Orca and Seaspray arrived at his springs and requested if Leaf would permit them to build a temporary nest there as the warm temperatures were ideal for them to create their eggs, to which Leaf agreed.

Rosita, one of the hatchlings would take keen interest in staying at the springs and aspired to be a healer like Leaf. Recognising the eagerness and the young dragons natural talent for the field, Leaf accepted Rosita and took the youth under his wing to be an apprentice whom he would then raise alongside a then still young Babbage. While his parents would return to their clan, Rosita would stay and continue to learn under Leaf's guidance.
