Biography
Teesho
You step forward, slightly nervous, though you can't imagine why. You touch your
satchel, to insure it's still there, then step into the little cavern.
As you enter, a breeze comes up from nowhere and darts through the room, setting
hundreds of windchimes shaking and singing. You gasp slightly, startled by the simple
beauty of these whimsical creations. One is made from sea glass and shells, with some
little golden bells to tinkle and chime. Another is steampunk, grommets and sockets
and rivets and gears all welded, screwed, and bolted together to make a very loud,
but very attractive, windchime. A third makes hardly any noise, made as it is from
feathers, fluff, and flower petals. The only sound is a single silver bell near
the bottom, singing a soft, gentle little song.
You are so busy staring at the windchimes, that you don't notice their creator
until he is right next to you. Startled and a little abashed, you start to stammer
a question. The Fae doesn't appear to be listening, but instead flutters up onto one
of his creations. He taps a glass orb with his clawtip, and smiles when he hears its
crisp, clear tone. He turns to you and says, "Are you looking for something?"
You have a little bit of experience with Faes, and you realize from the fluttering
of his frills that he's actually quite shy and nervous. Gaining some courage from
that fact, you reply, "Yes, actually, I'm looking for a present for my friend. She's
very fond of insects, do you happen to have..."
But before you finish speaking he's gone, darting into the back of the cave. In a
moment he's back, holding a delicate piece adorned with wrought-iron beetles and
silver dragonflies. He blows on it softly, and a tiny golden butterfly seems to
flutter about and land on little golden flowers. Each time it touches, a note rings
out, merging together into a lovely melody. He looks at you questioningly.
You just nod, and pay his price. So taken aback by the lovely piece are you, that
you don't even try to haggle.
As you are flying away with your new treasure clutched to your chest, you realize
you might need to find a different present for your friend.
