Syra was born in the Light Flight and as a youngster met her mate Adelphios. The two of them started as friends but as they got older got closer and closer. They traveled together for a while, eventually finding themselves in Anwen and Danes' territory. They were welcomed into the clan after meeting Lena. They had a mated pair ceremony shortly after arriving in the clan and have no plans to have children together.

Along the way, Syra developed a particular proclivity for stealing. She is absurdly good at it and loves the thrill of it. She tends to steal almost exclusively from dragons of other species because she can lie easily to them. Adelphios doesn't appreciate that fact about her, but she usually just doesn't tell him what she's doing. She does not bring the things she has stolen to the clan, instead finding buyers to take them so that she can be quickly rid of them.

Her familiar came to her rather strangely. She found him when she was out on a mission to steal some jewelry. He was chained up and miserable outside of a lair, so she decided at the last minute it would be more fun to save and steal the chimera than it would be to steal jewels again. She didn't know where she would find a buyer for him, but found after a while that he was clearly grateful to her for saving him and he became extremely loyal to her. She can often be found roosting in his mane or snuggled up with him. His snake tail tends to like to wrap loosely around her, which worried many at first before they realized he would never harm her.
