  • used to be a lighter dragon as a child -- pink wings and light grayish/white body
  • clan focused heavily on training their youth
  • started studying under a master wizard very young
  • one day while in their archive studying, she found a book over taboo dark arts
  • became interested in blood magic; started practicing in secret
  • one particularly botched ritual fused the blood with her wings and sucked the life from her scales
  • OR over time blood magic causes one to look like that; a gradual effect that causes people to fear them; it draws the shade to them and leaves a mark
  • clan cast her out for being a blood mage; afraid of the shade being drawn to them
