Biography
William Chou Xinque
FREEBORN CLAN CHIEF - LAWFUL GOOD
" There are two types of prisons. Some are carrying their prison with them, in their mind. "
Appearance
Williams size is quite average, really, though his wings are on the big side in comparison to his heavy, muscled body. The Imperial has a broad, stocky body, but not fat. He trains very often to keep his huge body in a good shape. His dark skin has an interesting, blueish glow, just like the deeper, pure blue markings. His wings are a sight too: small reflecting scales cover most of the skin between his fingers, and his manes contain some of these facets too. |
Personality
The serious and compassionate William Chou is known for his fearlessness in both verbal and non-verbal battle. He fights for the freedom of Dragon-slaves, led by his strong-willed and rebellious heart. William wants his enemies and allies to think he's a tough, unbeatable guy, yet his close friends know otherwise. Deep down, William is often scared and insecure, haunted by dark feeling of loss and trauma. And, well, though he sometimes acts like he can do anything, Will is a very clumsy, awkward father to Temo! |
Background
The Imperial chap is the hybrid son of a Shadow and a Light Dragon, yet he received the element of Lightning due to hatching in the Shifting Expanse. He was abandoned at birth, but William Chou was found by a local Prickly Pear-farmer, who raised the Imperial like his very own hatchling. At first, the young Will was a silent and calm lad, who didn't ask much questions about his past and his parents. But after a couple of years, he doubted that his father, who was a Harpy, was his real dad. The farmer didn't know anything about Will's past, but with great sorrow, he suggested that William could explore the Lightning Territory to find out. When William reached adulthood, he set out and discovered the treacherous yet impressive Shifting Expanse. On his way, he noticed that there were two kinds of Dragons: the ones who give work, and the ones who work. Some bosses handled their workers really well, while others treated their employees like slaves. In a distant village close The Ashfall Waste, William was enslaved himself by the dictator of the town, who forced him to work in a factory for years. However, William made some useful friends in the factory, and together they broke out. They caused turmoil in the village, and all William Chou's new allies died on the battlefield, except one: the mysterious Sjaman Pandora survived the fight. Together with Pandora, William ran off into the arid lands of the Expanse. They came across an abandoned factory hall close to a prison. The two Dragons called the hall home, and while spending their first days in their steel sanctuary, they discussed forming a Clan together. A Clan whose motive was to free Dragonic slaves from their evil masters. And so, the Freeborn Clan was found. |
Relations
William Chou Xinque - Foster Father: The black Imperial raised Temo like his own daughter, and even though he might act clumpsy and insecure as a father, Temo still loves and admires her dad. She'll do anything to save his hide and her Clan, because she wants to be the next Chief when William stands down. |
Pandora von Apocalypta - Passive Enemy: Since Temo hates going to the doctor, she hates seeing Pandora. Beside from being 'the creepy medic', Temo describes the mysterious Skydancer as 'an over-serious witch'. Pandora herself acts contemptuous towards the younger Ridgeback, claiming she's to ignorant to understand the Medic's ways anyway. |
Sir Willy - Mousy Friend: This grumpy old Pocketmouse surely likes his owner, though he prefers sleeping in her nest than playing with Temo. He often bites her, but the Ridgeback doesn't really mind. She still adores him! Sir Willy is named after her foster-father, William Chou. Coincidental, William seems to be the only one Willy actually wants to snuggle with! |
