BACKGROUND
Astronomer he/him 
words PERSONALITY Even living up atop Escalante, Sirocco's sheer reclusiveness tends to come as something of a surprise. Loner is certainly a good word for him -- he shares the observatory with the Gardeners, largely, and thus he might as well not share it at all. He absorbs himself in his work, more than anything -- watching the dark night skies above, charting star maps, spending hours on increasingly more complex math equations. Any visitors shouldn't expect to be welcomed by him -- more like acknowledged, and summarily ignored. Doesn't mean he's quiet, by any stretch of the imagination. He talks to himself, to the arcane goblin who's made a home there, murmuring reminders and observations in the echoing room. Even if he's not, he always needs some sort of white noise -- distant speech, the patter of rain, crackle of fire, wind through the trees. And he works best thinking out loud, though you probably wouldn't know it to actually talk to him, bizarre as he can be during communication. Problem is he's cryptic as anything. It's near impossible to get a straight answer out of the wildclaw; everything he says seems to be some form of riddle, if he deigns to speak at all. It's probably best just not to bother, for both you and him. Copy some of his notes, if that's what you're looking for. He's not friendly, or interested in any sort of interaction, and even if you work at it he's picky as hell about who he chooses to talk to. He's dismissive and cold to both beastkin and dragons as a rule, either severely lacking in charisma or just disinterested in using it, but wielding a sharp tongue and possessed of an unnerving patience to make up for it. He doesn't needle, or insult, but he's got a way of making you feel like a fool, or at least someone far beneath his notice. |
