"Everybody deserves a happy ending."

As a white coatl, Arclight was always seen as an ill omen, even amongst the very Fire dragons who first adopted her orphaned egg. Dragons who would later abandon the "cursed" child to fend for herself amongst the many dangers of Cinderslag. Struggling and scrounging her way to adulthood, the thought of leaving the superstitious dragons of the Ashfall Waste behind stood as the beacon that kept her going. All she needed was a sign, which was granted to her in the form of a traveling seer from the Water Flight. The oracle spoke of a vision, a light that outshone all others, piercing through even the deepest darkness. Arclight would first interpret this as guidance to seek out her origin in the Sunbeam Ruins.

When Arclight first arrived Sunbeam Ruins, she was met with a reaction she never would have expected, she was completely ignored. Dragons with pale colourations were a common sight in the domain of the Lightweaver, and for Arclight there was no greater joy than to judged by the silver tongue she'd developed bartering for her survival in Cinderslag, rather than something as arbitrary as her feathers.

After several years and a growing renown surrounding her skill in debate and eloquent speech, Arclight found her thoughts wondering back to the prophecy she had received in the town she had never called home. It was true she shone brightly in the Sunbeam Ruins, but where was the "deepest darkness" she was meant to pierce through? And so for the first time Arclight turned her head to the west, and the pine-shrouded shadows of the Tangled Wood.

Once again prophecy has lead Arclight to where she is meant to be. In The Clan of Glowing Night, Arclight has found another coatl who she can share her love of academic pursuits with: Shiver. Not to mention how the cunning dragons of the Shadow Flight have a way with words she can't help but respect, even though it happens to costs her a couple treasure from time to time.
