The Undead Wanderer  [Theme song: The Master of Death | Immortality - Peter Gundry]
A dragon coming from the Southern Icefields who is said to have wandered the whole Sornieth.
Ihapere is believed to come from a respected Ice clan of wanderers. The dragon was one of the scouts, his task was to find lands were the clan could settle. Once, scouting a peripheral area of the Abiding Boneyard, he ran into a terrible monster who infected the dragon with a deadly disease. A mutation affected the dragon's eyes turning him completely blind for a short period of time before they started to appear. A mass of blaring, neon green eyes which started growing along his crests, on chest and limbs with the bigger one opening like a gruesome mouth, tearing his neck apart. It is thought that Ihapere had run into a Primal Plague dragon, a walking pestilence, dragons granted with the withering touch of the Plaguebringer. A curse which has no cure. Wandering the lands to find an antidote, the white scaled dragon found his peace in the darkness of the Tangled Woods, where he let his body decay. His spirit though, continued to fight the fatal illness. Seeing such a strong soul dying, the Shadowbinder granted it life, hosting it inside a black steel lamp, becoming a beacon of hope for any dragon who happens to stumble upon the skeletal vulture that brings it around. The body, forever decaying, is animated by a shadow of the Mother and follows the black feathered raptor like a mindless puppet. Its only purpose is to protect his former soul from any harm. When a clan dragon gets sick, it is said that if their mate or sire were to find the Undead Wanderer and leave a trail of bird bones from the woods to the nest of the ill dragon, Ihapere's soul will guide the vulture to the diseased and leave a green coat of his essence on the nest. If the vulture is found hanging around the nest of the ill in the next morning, it means that the sick dragon will not recover and the beacon will stay as a signal for the Blue Skull to fetch the soul of the dying dragon. | xxxxxx |
