Microlore: Quiet and contemplative, he has turned his thoughts almost exclusviely to art. As a choreographer, he helps the clan's dancers prepare for upcoming festivals and events, teaching them new steps and sequences, and pushing them to become better and bring his vision to life.
Somewhat rebellious, he is never satisfied with the status quo. Some say that he likes to push others' buttons, but he is simply interested in seeing how much can change at what price. He is well-versed in social skills, and his silver tongue has earned him many financiers for his dance troupe. Early Life
Hyram was barely out of the egg before being ushered from the nursery by his mother, Philomena. Even as a hatchling, he could see and hear the worry she tried to keep hidden from her face and voice.
“Listen closely, Little One. You must follow my advice and do exactly as you’re told. There is no time to explain, but your very life depends on it.” Barely stopping for breath, Philomena prepared her son for their journey, trying to bestow on him the knowledge she had accrued throughout her own years of wandering. “I believe in you. You can do this. Here, take this.” She thrust a package into his shaky talons and swept her wing across his forehead in blessing, but also in farewell. It all happened so fast. Before he knew it, he was alone on the far side of the Shattered Plain. His mother, apparently knowing that once the shock had released him from his stupor he would be full of questions and plead for her not to leave, had disappeared. He was on his own. Struggling to remember every instruction she had given, Hyram carefully opened the package his mother had given him. Though small, it was quite heavy for it contained a plethora of penny pops. A gift from his father, Timur. Eyes welling with tears, Hyram sniffed sharply then shook himself and squared his small shoulders. He would find a new clan. He would make his parents proud. Setting his jaw, Hyram bravely set off on his journey and vowed to dedicate his life to those things that bring joy. After all, his life could only get better from here. |
