  • Either guides dragons/beastmen through the forest or gets them lost.
  • If he and his fairies figure the traveler has bad intentions he leads them to areas in which the forest will most likely kill them.
  • If the traveler has good intentions he'll guide them to safety.
  • He is occasionally wrong.
  • Moon light makes his opal patches glow in the dark, making it hard for travelers to see his exact shape, but the effect is mesmerizing, and has a will-o-the-wisp effect. This is what he uses to lure the travelers into following him.
  • He very rarely actually makes contact with any of them.
  • He just up and disappears when they arrive where he wants them to be.
