Biography
This is a sick reality that I want to escape from. |
Revenant knew something was very wrong with him. He constantly ached all over, and would go into coughing fits several times a day. His skin had pustles all over and was constantly itchy. He wasn't allowed to play with other hatchlings and everyone but his parents stayed away from him. Why couldn't he be a normal dragon, and lead a normal life? He often spent his days in his nest. It seemed that there was a veil between him and the rest of the world. Everything and everyone seemed so far away from his reality. He was tired of his reality, of his life. He was tired of all the pain he had to go through everyday. He wanted it to end. So that's what he did. He sneaked out of the clan's territory and made his way to the heart of the Scarred Wasteland. That's when he met Idimmu. The dark imperial offered to help him reach the Wyrmwound, and he stupidly agreed. He had stupidly let down his guard and told the imperial of his plans to end his life. Revenant had been ignorant of the world due to the way he lived, and did not take the strange, almost replusing smell from the imperial as a warning. Idimmu was not alive. At least, the body wasn't. But the soul inside was very alive. The soul has long been touched by the Shade, and was full of hatred and anger. And this soul had plans for Revenant. The duo reached the Wyrmwound and Revenant turned to thank the imperial, only to be pounced on by the imperial. Revenant struggled, but Idimmu was far bigger and stronger than him, and he himself was weakened by his sickness and the strenuous journey. Idimmu snarled at him, and Revenant saw the decaying flesh and maggots wriggling in the dead imperial's mouth. He saw the imperial's red eyes turn pitch black, and black smoke began to pour out of Idimmu's mouth. A scream filled the air. The Shade-tainted soul released Revenant, and Revenant bolted away from the imperial. He wanted this nightmare to end. Mustering the last of his strength, threw himself into the Wyrmwound. Pain set into his entire being. His scream was cut off by the liquid that found its way into his body. But the pain did not ceased. Black smoke surrounded him and lifted him out of the Wyrmwound, only to be faced by Idimmu. Writhing in pain, Revenant let out screams of terror, while Idimmu threw his head back and laughed. The laughter echoed around the area, sending shivers down Revenant's spine. "You can try throwing yourself in the lake as many times as you want kiddo. You won't die." Idimmu dragged out the words of the second statement to let the weight of his curse sink in. Idimmu set Revenant down and walked away, leaving the tundra dealing with the newfound information and the searing pain that the viruses of the lake had brought him. He was now in a living nightmare he could never escape. |
