SKYLARK
I am strong. Mighty. A warrior, one that will never give up no matter what. I am a leader, a singer like my namesake. A bird, one that flies so high one might call it a fanasty, a dream. But, honestly, maybe that is what our lifes our, simply a dream, a wisp of hope in the neverending cyclone of wind. We are the dreamers, after all. The dragons who hope, who sing, who ride and fly with the wind. And we will never give up, however hard our opponent tries to make us.
tap. tap. tap. The light tapping of raindrops on the roof of the cave dies out slowly, steadily. Inside the cave, and egg lies, ready to hatch. Too many things were- are- running through the little dragon's mind, the dragon inside the egg. She has so many questions, but yet she wills herself out of the egg.
But that's not before she hears footsteps. Just as the egg, her egg is cracking, letting the cold air rush into her fur, she hears soft, low voices. As the egg cracks open, a single word comes out of her mouth. "Squirble." The other dragons stop talking, and one asks the other what the noise was. "That must be mama," The hatchling thought quickly. She was out, after all this time. She didn't know where she was or who she was. She only knew one thing. This was her world now.
