Biography
Diabhalta (Pronounced Dee-ahl-tuh) is the Irish word meaning "playful, naughty, mischievous".
When Dia was born he went unnamed. He was found as an older hatchling, alone and lost, unable to speak, but incredibly stubborn and free willed. Ronan found him one day as he snuck through the clan camp attempting to steal food. She instantly calmed the young dragon down and tried to talk to him, only to discover him unable to communicate.
It became apparent that lack of speech was due to absence of teaching, not a defect at birth. Ronan took the young wing in and raised him as her own, loving him like she loved no other as she had not been blessed with hatchlings (being matron of a clan took up all time for a family). Quickly Dia formed a bond and learned at a fantastic rate. It soon became apparent that he loved to play tricks on others; harmless, amusing tricks that sometimes landed him in hot water.
In the beginning the clan simply referred to him as Little One, as he had no name. Until the day that everyone refers to as the "frog incident". Dia rounded up all icenight frogs he could find, still frozen cold and asleep. He placed a few in each den, under beds and inside crevices. In a short few hours the frogs began to thaw for the end of their hibernation and sprang to life in the middle of the night, terrifying several groggy clan mates. The camp grounds were all croaking and shrieking as furious frogs chased clan dwellers out of their abodes and into the night. The mess was fantastic in size and required hours of cleanup. Despite his punishment being cleaning duty, Dia couldn't stop grinning the entire time he scrubbed and tidied. And despite herself, Ronan couldn't be mad at him. She named him trickster and from that day Diabhalta had a new name to start his life with.
Hatchling Dragon View
Mate to Fahbcun. Being much smaller than him he often finds himself playing ever trusty steed to her, chauffeuring her around between his shoulder blades. He secretly enjoys it, and loves that he can malehandle her with ease. Despite their size difference, she is incredibly feisty, headstrong and independent, he admires her greatly.
The good gene match to Cróm
