The Sun Guide

Aleya is a wind-aligned aerial dragon with a thirst for adventure and a deep love of flying. She enjoys nothing more than soaring as high as her wings will carry her, and exploring every reach of Sornieth she possibly can. She rarely settles in one place for longer than a few seasons, however she finds herself returning to Heron Cove more than anywhere else and is a familiar face on its shores. Aleya can usually be found perching on the very top of the rock cliffs surrounding the cove, soaking up the sun and basking in its heat, accompanied by her corn snake friend, Delilah.

She earned the nickname of 'Sun Guide', because when she practices her acrobatic flight patterns, her immense wings cause the sun's rays to flicker on the surface of the water, giving the impression from underwater that Aleya herself is showing the sun where to shine. The clan's hatchlings often enjoy the game of attempting to 'catch' the rays of light as they gleam through the water during Aleya's flight displays.
